Hi everyone! Last week, the Anima Flux team attended Nordic Game in Malmö, Sweden. It was a pleasure to return to one of our most successful gaming conferences to make new acquaintances, meet old friends, as well as influencers, gaming enthusiasts, and media representatives.
The 20th-anniversary edition of the Nordic Game Conference from May 21 to May 24 brought many brilliant speakers and attendees from all over the world. With more than 2500 attendees on-site and 157 speakers from different countries, those were the main numbers of the past event.
Anima Flux participated in the speed game pitching, where about 30 game dev teams had to present their projects within 1 minute. We were pleased to receive a special mention from the hosts, highlighting our victory in the Pitch Battle last year.
Over the course of 3 days, we showcased Anima Flux, among other indie game dev teams from European countries.
Around 50 players enjoyed the game either in single or co-op mode, sharing their feedback with us. The majority of the audience noted the key features, including the visual style of the game and the fun co-op mode.
The visuals remind them of old-school games in a sci-fi setting combined with cyberpunk elements. This impression is enhanced by the synthwave soundtrack, which intensifies as battles become more intense in the face of increasing threats.
Regarding combat, it became evident that the combat system and controls are easy to understand, proving a comfortable entry threshold into the gameplay for a wide audience. Many expressed the opinion that it would be a lot of fun to play the game together in couch co-op, joking and enjoying the story, visuals, and battles.
We would like to extend our thanks to the hosts of Nordic Game for this experience! It will be wonderful to come back here next year!
